Banteay Srey Women's Spa: A Khmer Experience for Women

Banteay Srey is a women-only spa run by the Banteay Srey Project, which trains and employs young Khmer women from rural communities. The treatments are traditionally Khmer: herbal steam baths, body scrubs, massage with oils and herbs made on-site. Most visitors book a half-day or full-day package.

The steam bath uses krueng, a pounded blend of aromatic roots, leaves, and fruits that also goes into their body scrubs and skincare products. All of it is made at the spa.

They take a maximum of four guests per day to make sure every visitor gets the attention they deserve, so it’s worth booking ahead.

The full-day experience includes lunch made in their rustic kitchen, using locally farmed and wildcrafted ingredients.

Treatments include massage, facial, body scrub, mani/pedi, and Reiki. The massage technique is distinctly Khmer and consistently different from the generic tourist massage. Afterwards you can cool off in the natural spring bath or relax on the riverside deck.
